Hey everyone!! I’m considered the “new guy” in the band…even though I’ve been around for a year now! I grew up in the Houston/La Crescent, Minnesota area but I have lived in La Crosse, WI for a long time. I love spending time with my family when I’m not playing, writing or recording music! I’m glad you decided to take a look at my little corner of the Camino website! Enjoy!
Q & A:
When did you start playing?
I started playing guitar when I was 15 years old! I picked up the bass guitar a little later when playing in some other bands with buddies! I still play guitar, sing and write songs for my band, Porcupine!!
Do you have any favorite bands or influences?
My favorite bands are The Doors, Echo and the Bunnymen, Love and Rockets, Syd Barrett and Swervedriver! Adam Franklin from Swervedriver was and still is one of my favorite guitarists! These are the bands that taught me how to play and helped me develop my originality as a player and songwriter.
What do you like about playing with The El Caminos?
The band members are great guys and very talented musicians! They are also my close friends! We get along well and we have a good time playing together!
Any random thoughts you’d like to share?
I love sushi! It’s my favorite food!

If there is a common “happiness” thread through all people; rich or poor; young or old; every walk of life; it would me music. Right? Who doesn’t like music? And along with music goes entertainment! Who doesn’t like to be entertained? Put those two items together and you have The El Caminos. The band was put here to do just that: Play music and entertain people! They feel it’s their mission to make people smile, forget their cares for a little while, help people let loose, enjoy themselves, sing along like no one’s listening, dance a little (or a lot) and just have a great time in general!
