| February 17th | Rest up for Nob Hill!

It seems like all we do is thank people on this page but we can’t help it!! So that’s just what we are going to do!! It might get a little mushy, but we don’t care…

We had a great time in Lansing, IA last weekend at TJ Hunter’s! What a great turnout for the show!! We can’t thank you all enough for all the support! You all truly make playing tunes and putting these shows together worthwhile!! Many thanks to Jason and the crew at TJ Hunter’s for taking care of us! We’ll be looking for another date or two in the near future! We’d also like to throw a shout out to Wade Goeke (New Black 7) for hanging out with us all weekend and jumping up on stage to play a couple tunes with us!! It was a blast to have him around! And last, but not least, we need to thank our sound and light guys, Dan and Tony, for always working hard and putting together a great show!! We appreciate you boys more than you’ll ever know!!

We’re also looking forward to the next show on March 3rd at Nob Hill in Decorah, IA! The Xi Omicron girls have been working hard to promote this big fundraiser! We had a great time last year and we’re expecting much of the same this year! Hope to see you all out at the show! Heck, we might even pull out a couple new tunes?

| February 8th | Rock n Rollin’

We wanted to send a big shout out to Joe and the crew over at Pearl Street Brewery for throwing a great big bash last weekend! We were honored and proud to be a part of the festivities! Thanks for having us on the bill! Lots of great music, beers and food all day long! You can’t beat that!!

This Saturday, February 11th, we’ll be back in Lansing, Iowa at TJ Hunters! Seems like it has been a very long time since we’ve been in Lansing!! TJ Hunter’s has a great big room that needs to be filled up with some thirsty people looking to have a great time with us!!

| January 31st | Winter Ball

Thanks to all that came out to the Varsity Club last Saturday night! Once again, we appreciate all the support!! We’re happy to play some music and see your smiling faces!

This Saturday, February 4th, we’ll be performing between 3:30pm and 5pm at the Pearl Street Brewery Winter Ball! It’ll be our first time at the Winter Ball and we’re looking forward to having a good time!! | January 26th | Off to a Great Start!!

2012 has started off with a wallop! We had a great time in Caledonia last weekend at The Back 40! We had a wonderful group of rowdy singers! We give you all a cyber high-five right now for being awesome! Props go to Amanda and her great crew at The Back 40 for taking good care of us! We appreciate it!

Our next stop is in La Crosse this Saturday, January 28th at The Varsity Club!! The Varsity Club is at 1920 Ward Avenue in La Crosse (54601) for those of you that aren’t familiar with the area. Pop that address into your GPS and you’ll be all set!! Show time is 9pm!!

| January 15th | Ready, Set, ROCK!

2012 is about to take off!! We’ve got 4 shows in four weekends and we’ve got some fun new songs added to the list!! We’re excited to get things rolling!! This coming Saturday, January 21st, we’ll be at The Back 40 in Caledonia, MN!! We always have a great time at the Back 40!! Come on out and join us. Shake off the cold and blow off the shoveling for a night to hang out with us!! We think that’s a great idea!!

Then we’re back in La Crosse for a couple of weekends in a row!! January 28th we’ll be at The Varsity Club on Ward Avenue and the Saturday after that (Feb. 4th) we’ll be performing at Pearl Street Brewery’s Winter Ball!! It’ll be nice to see some familiar faces around La Crosse again!! We’ve missed you!!

Then, on February 11th, we’ll be in Lansing, IA at TJ Hunter’s!! They have big stage and a nice dance floor that is just begging to be filled up with happy people that are ready to party!!

Hello everyone in Camino-Land!! We’re looking forward to a great New Year and we hope you are as well! We hope you all prosper in whatever it is that you decide to do!! We’re going to keep bringing fun and music to all that come to our shows!! That’s a goal we feel we can live up to! We know you’ll live up to your part of our goal as well: your goal is to have fun, sing along, get crazy and let your cares go!!

Our next show is in Caledonia, MN at The Back 40 in a few weeks. We’re working on some fun new stuff to add to the set right now!!

| December 12th | Happy Holidays and Cheers to a great New Year!

We’d like to thank everyone that came out to the show over the weekend to hang out with us! Big thanks to The Silverado Saloon for having us!! We had a great time and we’ll be booking something back in West Salem again for 2012!

As you know, The Silverado was our last show for 2011 and we can’t thank everyone enough for all the support! We appreciate it more than we can ever say and we’re looking forward to an even better 2012!! Take a look at our SHOWS page and see where we’ll be in 2012! We’ve got about a month off with enjoy the holidays and get some new tunes ready to roll! We’re excited to get started on 2012 at The Back 40 on January 21st in Caledonia, MN!

| November 30th | Waukon, IA Rocks!… West Salem, WI up next!

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again; our home town never lets us down! We always have a great time in Waukon!! We appreciate all the support you show us and all the support offered to the Waukon Fire Department when they put fundraisers together! It means a lot to us and them! We’d also like to thank Audrea Peterson and her crew at the Waukon Banquet Center for making us feel at home as well!

Our next show will be at The Silverado Saloon in West Salem, WI! The Silverado is right downtown at 158 Leonard Street South. We’re looking forward to playing a little intimate show at a fun little bar like The Silverado! We might even have a few fun tricks up our sleeve for that night? We’ll see what happens! It’ll also be our last show of 2011!! Drop in for a few cold ones and celebrate with us!!

Don’t forget to rock and roll all night and party every day!!

| November 18th | Thanks to Fox Hollow…Hello Waukon!!

We’d like to give Dave and the crew at Fox Hollow a big thank you for making our show there last weekend a success! We appreciate all you did to help out and make it a great night!! We had a great time and we’ll definitely be back!!

Wednesday night, November 23rd, we’ll be in Waukon, IA at the Waukon Reception Center to kick off a great Turkey Day weekend!! You’ll find us, good friends, great music and cold drinks all at the same place! This show is just a few short days away!! We’re looking forward to it!!

In case you were wondering, you can catch us again in the greater-La Crosse area at The Silverado Saloon in West Salem on Saturday, December 10th!! This will be a bit of an intimate show for us and we love it!!

| October 31st | Happy Halloween!!

We’d like to thank The Elk’s Club for putting on another great Halloween Bash over the weekend!! We had a great time and we got to reconnect with a lot of great friends! It was a great show with a lot of great costumes! Halloween is always one of our favorite shows of the year!! So thank you all again for coming out and having a great time with us!!

Next show is in Barre Mills, WI (just east of La Crosse,WI – County Highway B to County Highway O) at the Fox Hollow Banquet Center in two weeks (Saturday, November 12)!! We anticipate a fun night filled with rock and roll with a sprinkle of country music to tie it all together!
We are looking forward to it!

We apologize for missing the “Caminos Trivia” this week but hopefully it’ll be back for next time. Jason had some sick chitlins at home which made it difficult to get the trivia recorded/edited and posted in time! We hope they’re feeling better soon… and that Jason doesn’t get sick too!!

| October 17th | Fall Fire Jam coming right up!!

We sincerely hope everyone in Camino-Land had a great weekend! We hope you watched a ballgame or two and had a beer or two with friends and family! We mostly hope you all got some rest because you’re going to need it for this weekend when you come and hang out on Saturday night with us in Spring Grove, MN! Yup, it’s time again for the Fall Fire Jam! We need you all to help us raise some money for the Fire Department in Spring Grove! We need to support those folks so they can support US!!

Next weekend, Saturday October 29th, we’ll be back in Decorah, IA for the big Halloween Bash at the Elk’s Club! Get your costumes together and get out to the show! We always have a great time on Halloween! The Caminos even have our costumes started or at least the idea has been decided. That’s something new for us, because we usually decide what’s up the week of the show… not this year!

| October 5th | ROCKtober all OVER!!

In two weeks we’ll be in Spring Grove for the Annual FALL FIRE JAM! We’re looking forward to helping the SGFD raise some funds for new equipment and education! It’s very important to support those volunteer firefighters!! That’s Saturday, October 22nd at the Spring Grove Community Center!!

Then, on October 29th, we’ll be back in Decorah, IA at the ELK’S CLUB for our third HALLOWEEN BASH there! Get your makeup on, your masks and capes warmed up because this is one of our favorite shows of the year! We’ll be dressed to the 9′s (you know we will) and we expect that you all will be too!

JUST ADDED: We’ll be at FOX HOLLOW BANQUET HALL in Barre Mills, WI on Saturday, November 12th!! This will be our first time playing in Barre Mills! We hope you’ll all come out and support us at one of our very few local (to La Crosse, WI) shows!

| September 26th | OKTOBERFEST!!

We had an absolute blast playing Oktoberfest on Friday afternoon right here in La Crosse, WI! As always, we send out huge thanks to all of our friends for showing up and making us feel right at home!! Lots of familiar faces in the audience that day and lots of new faces as well! We were glad to be a part of the big opening day festivities!

We’ll be in Spring Grove, MN for the FALL FIRE JAM on Saturday, October 22nd! In those few weeks off we’ll be rehearsing more new tunes and we’re pretty sure Jason will be getting a new “Caminos Trivia” ready to go as well! Won’t that be fun? Of course it will…

| September 16th | Applefest and Norman Borlaug Harvest Days This Weekend

Don’t forget that we’ll be at APPLEFEST in La Crescent, MN TONIGHT, and TOMORROW we’ll be in Cresco, IA at Norman Borlaug Harvest Days! We’re looking forward to seeing as many of you out this weekend as we can!! We’ll be first timers at both shows, so we’re looking forward to a great time and sharing the fun with everyone that shows up!!

Next Friday, September 23rd, we’ll be at Oktoberfest in La Crosse, WI on the Bier Hall West stage from 4pm-8pm! Come on out and celebrate all things German with us!! So after you help tap that Golden Keg, stick around for a bit and hang out with us as we plow through a set of rock and country favorites!!

| September 6th | Big Thanks!!

Bucks N’ Bull’s in Harpers Ferry, IA on Labor Day Weekend! What can we say? We had such a great time! We thank everyone for showing up with their game faces on and ready to party! The chilly temps and short rain shower didn’t slow anyone down, in fact those two things may have been motivation for people to move around and get a little more crazy?! We’re not sure, but from our perspective it sure looked like people had some fun!!

Don’t forget that we’ll be at APPLEFEST in La Crescent, MN on Friday night, September 16th and on Saturday, September 17th we’ll be in Cresco, IA at Norman Borlaug Harvest Days! That’s just under two weeks away! Plenty of time to prepare!

| September 4th | Online Store has launched!!!

Finally, we have the online store up and ready to roll for you. We’d still rather have you come to a show and buy one from us personally, however we know some of you are 3000 miles away! | August 26th | Gearing Up!!

We’re looking forward to seeing you all at Bucks ‘N Bulls in Harpers Ferry, IA next weekend!! We’ll be playing on Sunday night, September 4th!! We’ve been working on a few rockin’ new tunes to throw your way and we’ve also got some sweet new shirts and koozies on the way for this weekend!!

After the Bucks and Bulls show we’ve got a week or two to get ready for Applefest in La Crescent, MN!! Then we’re off to Cresco, IA for Harvest Fest!! We hope to see you all somewhere very soon!!

| August 15th | Fish Days was a huge party!

Fish Days in Lansing, IA is always a blast! The day started out a little sketchy in the weather department but we dodged the rain clouds again! Mother Nature seems to smile upon us when it’s time to PARTY! The skies had cleared up by the time we were ready to fire up the rock and roll machine though! We couldn’t ask for a nicer night for a great Fish Days Celebration! Clear skies, comfortable temperatures, cold brews, great friends (new and old), fireworks and lots of rock and roll!! We extend a huge thank you to the Lansing Fire Department for putting together a great show and a fun weekend!! A lot of work goes into this sort of thing, so please thank those people for their hard work when you see them!!

We will see you all in a few weeks at Bucks ‘N Bulls in Harpers Ferry, IA!! We’ll be playing on Sunday night, September 4th!! We’re working on a few new tunes for you!! Be ready to party!!

| August 10th | Thank you to OssianFest!

We play a lot of shows in Iowa these days! Why, you ask? Because Iowa never fails to have a good time! Another case in point: last Friday night we played in Ossian, IA for OssianFest. They do it up every year with a parade on Friday night and a big celebration that whole evening! We were lucky enough to be a part of it this year and we were knocked out by the hospitality! We can’t say enough nice things about the people that helped make the evening a success and that help keep a thing like OssianFest going year after year! We salute you! Speaking of Iowa shows, we’ll be in Lansing this coming Saturday night (8/13) for the annual Fish Days celebration! Come on out and enjoy the festivities with us! See you there!!

| August 2nd | Nordic Fest was a blast!!

We were in Iowa again last weekend for Nordic Fest in Decorah and we had such a great time!! What a great night!! There was lots of dancing, singing and partaking in many, many cold beverages!! We thank the great people of Decorah (and the surrounding areas!!) for coming out and celebrating their great Norwegian heritage with us!! We KNOW they rock in Norway! We’ll see you in Iowa again this Friday in Ossian for OSSIANFEST!! We’ll be there and so should you!! Have a great rest of the week… be safe and stay cool!!

| July 25th | Elkader, IA knows how to party!!

We were a little worried when we left La Crosse, WI and the sky was black and the streets were flooded that the night might be a rough one but as we drove into Northeast Iowa we also drove into some nice sunshine and our worries were put to rest! It turned out to be a great night in Elkader, IA! The night was clear, the band was loud, the crowd was singing along and the beer was good and cold!! We can’t ask for more than that! Now we regroup and rest up for this coming weekend in Decorah, IA at Nordic Fest! We’re looking forward to it! See you all on Saturday, July 30th at 8pm under Canopy #5! www.nordicfest.com

| July 18th | Thanks again, New Albin, IA!!

We wanted to thank you all again for coming out on Saturday to celebrate New Albin Days with us! It was definitely a scorcher but the beer was cold, the brats were delicious and we were in great company!! We had a great time and we’re looking forward to coming back next year!!

Next Saturday we’ll be in Elkader, IA for Sweet Corn Days! Show 2 of our “tour” of Northeast Iowa!! Hope to see you all in Elkader! Have a great week and stay cool and safe!!

| July 12th | Can You Believe It’s July ALREADY!!?

Get Ready!! The Caminos are hitting the road for the next 5 weekends!! YES!! THAT’S RIGHT!! 5 WEEKENDS!! We’ll be in New Albin, IA this Saturday for New Albin Days!! Then we’re motoring down to Elkader, IA to celebrate Sweet Corn Days on Saturday, July 23!! It’ll be our first time in Elkader and we’re looking forward to it! Rockin’ by the Turkey River! On Saturday, July 30th we’ll celebrate Nordic Fest in good ol’ Decorah, IA with all the Iowegians! Uff Da!!! Friday, August 5th we’ll be in Ossian, IA for Ossian Days!! Don’t forget, that IS a FRIDAY NIGHT show!! Then we’ll round out the 5th weekend with a huge bang at Fish Days in Lansing, IA on Saturday, August 13th!! We can’t wait to play some new tunes for you and say hello!! It’s been too long!!

| June 28th | Have a Wonderful and Safe 4th Of July Weekend!!

Whether you’re attending Riverfest in La Crosse, spending the weekend on the river with family and friends or just plain relaxing and doing as little as possible, we want to wish you all a very happy and safe Independence Day Weekend!!!! We’re taking this time to work on some new music… when you see us at New Albin Days in a couple weeks there will be some new tunes on the agenda!! We’re looking forward to showing you what we’ve got!!

We’re pleased and excited to announce that The El Caminos will be performing on opening day of Oktoberfest in La Crosse this year. | June 20th | Congratulations to the Johnsons!

We played a fun wedding show in Waukon over the weekend for some friends: Congratulations to Caitlin and Brent! We wish you all the best! We had a great time entertaining the masses at the reception! We had a blast and we’re pretty sure everyone there had a good time too!!

| June 12th | New Addition to the Camino Family-Great Waukon show

The Camino’s added a new member to the family this week. Jason and Katie have a new son, Hudson Lee Harlan. It looks as if all the pieces are in place to hand the Camino name down to the boys of the current members That was a joke of course.

With all the excitement with the new addition to the family, the Caminos still managed to pull out an all out show in Waukon over the weekend. We ventured to Goodfella’s for the big Waukon Fireman Street Dance. It was an absolute blast. The crowd was large and in charge, which helped keep our minds off of the chilly night. Thanks again to Goodfella’s and the Waukon Fire Department for having us perform, it was a blast!

| June 1st | Here comes the Summer Stretch!

Hey everyone in Camino-land!! We’ve got lots of great shows coming your way this summer and we’re looking forward to seeing all of your smiling faces in the audiences!! Next show is on Saturday, June 11 in Waukon, IA behind Goodfellas to raise some moolah for the Waukon Fire Dept!! We’re hoping for some nice weather!

| March 21st | Big Thank you to all of you diehards!

The Caminos are on an amazing high after a few of our biggest shows to date. Fitting 700+ people into Nob Hill… are you kidding me?!? THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! And then to follow that up with the wonderful St. Patrick’s Day Bash in Waukon with the Toe Smashers at the Reception Center to darn near the same amount if not more. It was one hell of a week for the Caminos! Thank you to everybody that made it to one of the shows, and if you’re one of the many… both of the shows! Great times had by all!

We’re now gearing up for some rehearsals for some new material for the next couple shows coming up. And YES, we’ll be back to La Crosse, Wisconsin finally! Since our last show back in February we’ve been asked a bunch from numerous folks when we’d be back in La Crosse. Well, we’ll be at Howie’s on the 9th of April. But before that we’ll be down a couple hours south of Lax rocking the Brick City Bar & Grill in Clermont, Iowa! Such a fun place. Hopefully we’ll see some of you out and about at one of the shows… or both! Thanks again everybody, you’re making 2011 a year to remember.
